Webhooks and events

Tell other systems when content changes, or listen in your own app.

Settings › Integrations › Webhooks sends a signed POST with JSON when content changes.

  • Events: page.saved, page.published, page.unpublished, page.deleted and form.submitted.
  • Signing: each request carries X-Aurora-Signature, an HMAC-SHA256 of the body with the webhook's secret.
  • Delivery and checking: requests are sent from the queue and tried again when the receiver isn't reachable. Send a test and the last response help when setting one up.
Webhook settings: addresses told about content events, with a signing secret
Webhooks: where to send content events, with a signing secret.

Laravel events

The same moments are Laravel events your app can listen to: Aurora\Events\PageSaved, PagePublished, PageUnpublished, PageDeleted and FormSubmitted.

app/Providers/AppServiceProvider.php PHP
use Aurora\Events\PagePublished;
use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Event;

Event::listen(function (PagePublished $event) {
    // Purge a CDN, rebuild a static app, tell the team…
});
